AGUI-Lab: A multidisciplinary lab on biophotonics and optical technology

A multidisciplinary lab on biophotonics and optical technologies

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Guillermo Aguilar

Dr. Guillermo Aguilar, a renowned expert in his field, spearheads this dynamic research center with a mission to address some of the most pressing challenges facing modern society. He is a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery and a member of the National Academy of Engineering of Mexico. Dr. Aguilar’s main main areas of research include cryogenic spray cooling, laser-tissue interactions, biomedical optics and medical lasers.

Under the visionary leadership of Dr. Guillermo Aguilar, The Agui-Lab’s primary focus areas include laser-based medical treatments, precision manufacturing techniques, and novel materials development. Within the Agui-Lab’s walls, a diverse team of researchers, engineers, and students collaborate tirelessly to push the boundaries of knowledge and innovation. They develop cutting-edge laser technologies for non-invasive medical procedures, explore novel materials with groundbreaking properties, and pioneer new approaches to advanced manufacturing, all under Dr. Aguilar’s expert guidance.
